Gidley backs Hughes for LibDem presidency

The BBC reports that SG was at the side of former London mayoral candidate Simon Hughes (along with Fiyaz Mughal, Chair of the Ethnic Minority Liberal Democrats, and Edinburgh West MP John Barrett) when he launched his bid to become President of the Liberal Democrats.

For balance, we should add that Lembit Öpik, the humorous MP for Montgomeryshire, is also running in the election. (So can we pretty much assume that SG has chosen the winning side?)
