Gidley's Seat 'Glowing Example' - Kennedy

The GidleyWatch team are avid readers of the Romsey Advretiser and its related website ThisIsRomsey. So we were interested to read in last Friday's edition that, in a sign of his growing respect for Sandra Gidley, Charles Kennedy has paid a visit to Romsey (oh yes).

Addressing the Romsey LibDems' annual dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Chilworth, Charles Kennedy told party workers that Romsey was a seat that proved the LibDems could hold onto by-election gains. No doubt party workers in Brent East are relieved to read that - although they don't have the natural advantage of the Gidmeister as an MP.

In a move many will see as a further example of promotion-hungry Gidley's push for patronage from Kennedy, she presented him with a Colin Courtice painting of a local landmark. Looking at Colin's other work , we're sure Charles is, er, delighted.
